Admiral during the Ming dynasty of the largest fleet the world had ever seen. Zheng He's fleet displayed incredibly advanced technology for the time and probably had the ability to sail to the Americas, had the emperor ordered a western expedition. During the course of the seven expeditions he did make, Zheng, demonstrated extremely cunning diplomacy, while not shying away from conflict. Zheng's subordinates said that "he walked like a tiger," a legit metaphor considering that during Zheng's voyages, piracy against Chinese ships decreased incredibly, as Zheng used his fleet to crush piracy in and around China.
